Donald Trump is demanding a 44% surge in military spending, pushing it to $1.5 trillion, while cutting domestic programs by 10%.

Housing takes a 13% hit. Health and Human Services is cut about 12%, including programs like low-income heating assistance. Agriculture is slashed 19%, ending university and support grants. More than $15 billion in clean energy funding is eliminated.

Meanwhile, the administration is expanding detention infrastructure to 100,000 adult beds and 30,000 family beds, while maintaining elevated ICE funding. The “Justice Department,” which focuses on attacking his political enemies, gets a 13% increase focused on enforcement priorities.

This is a stunning betrayal of the American taxpayer — a historic transfer of power from 99% of Americans to the richest defense contractors in the world, so they can kill in our name, and get us deeper into a war with no end in sight.

He said it himself. “We’re fighting wars. We can’t take care of day care. It’s not possible for us to take care of day care, Medicaid, Medicare.”

That is the trade. Endless war spending, billionaire tax breaks, and massive Pentagon growth, while housing gets cut 13%, health programs slashed, renewable energy stripped of billions, and basic assistance for struggling families gutted.

And it gets worse. This budget openly targets programs helping low income communities, calling them woke 34 times while ripping away job training, housing support, and heating assistance.

This is not an abstract threat. It is a direct shift of wealth and power upward, paid for by cutting the floor out from under everyone else.

This demands more than outrage. It requires a coordinated, relentless push back at every level.

Time to go beyond No Kings protests. We’re talking completely shutting him down. Democrats must do whatever it takes to stop this. General Strike is on the table.
