Donna Kelce is disputing the attribution of a viral old tweet linked to her son, Travis Kelce.

Travis has faced criticism in recent days after liking an Instagram video of Shane Gillis‘ controversial Saturday Night Live monologue. The attention has also prompted fans to revisit alleged posts from what appears to be the Kansas City Chief’s tight end’s X account, dating from 2009 to 2011.

Shane was widely criticized for a monologue that included a vulgar remark about women’s gym attire. The reported like drew added scrutiny from some fans because Travis is married to Taylor Swift, who has spoken publicly about feminism and women’s empowerment.

Multiple celebrities slammed Shane‘s monologue, but one person did find it funny.

BuzzFeed published a closer look at the posts. The outlet said it could not independently verify the screenshots, while noting that The New York Times had previously reported that Snopes authenticated them.

One screenshot shows a tweet reading, “hahaha why cant girls hide they backfat? that ***** nasty!!!” Another reads, “I feel like if u wanna be a cheerleader you have to pass a beauty test…. there’s too many ugly cheerleaders out here smh.”

Other posts highlighted by BuzzFeed include one that reads, “As a man, You have something wrong with you if your going for girls that weight more than you!!” Another includes the R-slur.

Travis has not publicly commented on the resurfaced posts.
