Nie żyje Irena Paśnik, znana pod pseudonimami „Irka” i „Miła” – uczestniczka Powstania Warszawskiego, sanitariuszka i łączniczka Pułku „Baszta”. Miała 100 lat. Informację o jej śmierci przekazał prezydent Warszawy, Rafał Trzaskowski, który pożegnał bohaterkę we wzruszającym wpisie.
„Pani Ireno, stolica zawsze będzie Pani wdzięczna. Zawsze będziemy o Pani pamiętać” – napisał, oddając hołd kobiecie, która z ogromnym poświęceniem służyła Ojczyźnie podczas II wojny światowej.
