One of the most significant provisions would give President Trump authority to impose tariffs of up to 100% on major purchasers of Russian oil or natural gas, subject to exemptions included in the legislation. The bill received bipartisan support, with 203 Republicans and 58 Democrats voting in favor, while 152 Democrats and seven Republicans voted against it. �
