Taylor Swift spotted at Travis Kelce’s opening game in Kansas City on Emmys night

Are you ready for some Swift-ball?

Taylor Swift has returned for a fourth season rooting for husband Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs, kicking off another year in the suites of Arrowhead Stadium.

The camera panned to the singer sitting alongside Tom Cruise in the suite during the first quarter. In a video posted to X, Swift was seen in a red-and-cream checkered button-up taking a sip of a drink while the actor talked.

Swift’s appearance at the Chiefs-Broncos game comes as Kelce begins his 14th NFL season. The tight end announced in March that he would return for another year, putting off retirement after months of questions about his future on the field.

The Sept. 14 opener marks the superstar’s first time cheering from the stands since Christmas Day 2025, when she attended Kansas City’s game against Denver with her parents, Andrea and Scott, and brother, Austin.

During the 2025 season, Swift largely kept her arrivals out of view. Unlike the previous two years, when she routinely walked through the stadium tunnel in front of photographers, the pop star slipped into Arrowhead without a public entrance. Fan videos and occasional television cutaways were often the only confirmation she was inside.

Her return also continues a familiar pattern. The 14-time Grammy winner has been a staple at Chiefs home games since she first showed up at Arrowhead on Sept. 24, 2023.

Football over the Emmys
Swift won’t be making a cross-country dash from Kansas City to Hollywood. The singer is choosing the Chiefs’ home opener over the 78th Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, which take place the same night.

Her Disney+ concert special, “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show,” entered the Emmys with five nominations, including one for Swift as a producer and performer. All five categories were decided during the Creative Arts Emmys on Sept. 5, and the concert film went home without a trophy.

Swift has attended 32 Chiefs games since she and Kelce went public with their relationship in 2023. Kansas City has gone 24-8 with the singer in the crowd, winning 75% of those games.
