Taylor Swift Was Sweetly Called This by Jason Kelce’s Daughters When She First Met Them

Jason and Kylie Kelce‘s daughters weren’t sure what to do when they first met their future aunt

After their uncle Travis Kelce began dating Taylor Swift in 2023, Jason’s girls — Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finn, 1 — eventually got to meet the global superstar in a more familiar environment.

Jason and Travis discussed Swift’s early meeting with the Kelce girls on the Wednesday, Sept. 16 episode of the New Heights podcast, saying they struggled with one adorable detail. While talking about interacting with actor Tom Cruise and not knowing what to call him, Travis shared, “We had to break that habit with the girls. When they had to meet Aunt Tay Tay, they were calling her ‘Taylor Swift.’ ”

Jason laughed at the memory, impersonating his daughters, saying, “ ‘Taylor Swift, can I do this? Taylor Swift?’

Travis, who tied the knot with Swift on July 3, called his nieces’ mistake “adorable,” while Jason shared that he reassured his daughters that they could “call her Taylor.”

After noting that Cruise attended his Sept. 14 game at Arrowhead Stadium, sitting next to Swift in the private box, Travis admitted that he struggled with what to call the action star at first.

“It was definitely ‘Tom Cruise’ for the first two times, but then him coming to the game and us having a sit-down, that’s my guy, Tom,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said.

Of course, since that first meeting, Jason’s girls have gotten very comfortable with their Aunt Tay.

“I’ve been workshopping for the girls because they love everything rainbow — funfetti sourdough,” she said. And after Jason noted the flavor will “blow their mind,” Swift agreed, adding, “It will because they love sprinkles. Like, we put, you know, we put sprinkles in everything when we hang out.”

Jason and Kylie’s daughters even had a special role in Travis and Taylor’s high-profile wedding at Madison Square Garden on July 3.

It was a special event for our entire family, and obviously my daughters are incredible,” Jason shared on July 10. “They’re beautiful, they’re incredible personalities. And Travis and Taylor love them. So, very happy we were able to be a part of it. And more importantly, very happy for those two. It was an amazing day.”

On that same day, sports commentator Rich Eisen confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that the children were flower girls in the newlyweds’ star-studded ceremony, sharing, “The Kelce family is just awesome. You know, Kylie as well. Those four little girls who were sprinkling flower petals all over the place. It’s pretty cool, dude. It’s pretty cool.”
