Gabriel Martinelli’s Arsenal Future Under Growing Uncertainty

Gabriel Martinelli’s future at Arsenal has become one of the talking points of the club’s summer transfer window, with growing reports that the Brazilian winger could leave the Emirates before the window closes.

Martinelli was left out of Arsenal’s squad for the Community Shield against Manchester City and was also absent from the squad for the Premier League opener against Coventry City. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has previously explained that squad-size restrictions played a role in some of the omissions, but speculation over Martinelli’s future has continued.

The 25-year-old has attracted interest from several clubs. Galatasaray reportedly made an offer of around €45 million (£38.5 million), but Martinelli was not keen on making the move to Turkey. Arsenal, meanwhile, are understood to be open to considering suitable offers for the winger.

Napoli have also emerged as a potential destination, while Roma have reportedly shown interest. There have even been reports linking Martinelli with a possible swap involving Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz, although such a deal remains speculative.

Martinelli joined Arsenal in 2019 and has developed into an important attacking player for the club. However, increased competition on the left side of the attack, including the arrival of Christos Tzolis, has made his position less secure. Last season, Martinelli made 30 Premier League appearances but started only 11 matches, scoring once and providing four assists.

For now, Martinelli remains an Arsenal player, but his future is increasingly uncertain. With the transfer window still open, the coming days could determine whether the Brazilian stays in North London or begins a new chapter elsewhere.
