Ken Paxton Faces Voter Fraud Allegations Over Voting Address

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is facing renewed scrutiny over his voter registration after reporting found that he repeatedly voted using an address where he appeared to no longer live.

ProPublica and The Texas Tribune reported that Paxton voted in six elections over the past two years while registered at his former Collin County home. A divorce filing by his wife stated that Paxton moved out of the residence in 2024.

The Collin County Democratic Party subsequently asked Texas election officials to investigate whether Paxton committed election fraud during the May primary runoff.

However, the allegations have not been established as a criminal conviction. Texas election experts cited by the reporting noted that residency rules can have exceptions, including circumstances where a voter temporarily lives elsewhere but intends to return.

The controversy is drawing attention because Paxton has made election integrity and voter fraud a major focus of his public work.

The key question now is whether Texas authorities will determine that his voting address violated state election law.
