Chelsea Close the Door on Jamie Bynoe-Gittens Loan Exit
Chelsea have reportedly made their position clear on Jamie Bynoe-Gittens: the winger is not available for a loan move this summer, despite interest from clubs in Italy.
Reports from Italy indicate that Roma made an official request for a season-long loan, but Chelsea have shown no willingness to negotiate a temporary departure at this stage.
The decision reflects Chelsea’s belief in the young winger. Gittens joined the Blues from Borussia Dortmund in July 2025 and signed a contract running until 2032.
Chelsea appear determined to give the England international an opportunity to establish himself at Stamford Bridge rather than sending him elsewhere for another season. The club’s stance is particularly significant given the continued interest from Serie A sides.
Gittens has also featured regularly during Chelsea’s preparations, another indication that the club sees him as part of the squad going forward.
Nicolas Jackson faces a different situation
While Chelsea are closing the door on a loan for Gittens, Nicolas Jackson’s situation is very different.
The Senegalese striker is reportedly available for a permanent transfer, with Chelsea looking to find a long-term solution for his future. Jackson spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Bayern Munich before returning to Stamford Bridge.
Napoli have been linked with the forward, although negotiations have reportedly faced delays as the Italian club considers its attacking options.
For Gittens, however, the message from Chelsea is clear: no loan move, and the club still believes in his potential.
The winger now has the chance to repay that faith on the pitch and prove that he can become an important player in Chelsea’s plans.
