Well, much to the dismay of Swifties everywhere, the “Patient Zero” singer, 36, is reportedly skipping the next Kansas City Chiefs vs. Los Angeles Chargers home game. This will mark the first Chiefs home game she’ll miss since December 2024.
Instead, she’s performing her Toy Story 5 song, “I Knew It, I Know You,” at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on October 17.
“Taylor loves cheering for Travis, but this weekend is about Taylor,” a source close to Swift told Hollywood Insider Rob Shuter. “He has his career. She has hers. And right now, hers involves winning an Oscar.”
This surprising news comes right after Kelce, 37, made headlines after “liking” an Instagram video of Shane Gillis’ controversial monologue on Saturday Night Live. During the show, Gillis, 38, made demeaning comments about women, and Kelce has been spotted supporting the stand-up comedian on social media.
“I haven’t been to the gym in so long, I didn’t know women just dress like whores now? Look, I’m sorry, there’s no other way to describe [it],” Gillis said during the SNL monologue. “Have you seen it? I’ve seen it. You’ve seen the shorts? They’re those neon, like, artificial bait-colored… and the wrinkles go around the cheeks and all combine at the butthole. And don’t look! You’re not allowed to look. For real, don’t look, because they are filming. I’m in the background of ten TikToks right now.”
Kelce has “always been a massive fan of the show.” A source close to the tight end added that “he was supporting a friend.” Swift has yet to make a public statement about her husband’s support of Gillis, but the couple is taking some time apart amid the scandal. The pop star is focusing on her career at the moment.
