As President Trump prepared to host right wing leaders in Florida, officials pushed a dramatic video showing a massive explosion they claimed wiped out a drug traffickers camp in Ecuador. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth declared the US was now bombing Narco Terrorists on land.

Lies.

New York Times sent reporters to the scene, and revealed the truth. Interviews with the farm’s owner, workers, and local residents point to a farm being destroyed instead.

They photographed dead chickens. Blown up cows. Farming supplies blow up. Not a trace of a “training camp” for drug trafficking.

Farm owner Miguel stood in the rubble and said: It’s an outrage. It’s a lie that 50 people trained here. Where are they going to train? Out here in the open? There’s no logic.

Workers described soldiers arriving, beating them, tying them up, and setting buildings on fire before helicopters later dropped explosives on the remaining buildings.
