HISTORIC LAWSUIT FILED: A group of Jeffrey Epstein survivors has filed a class action lawsuit against the Trump administration and Google after their private information was exposed in the release of Epstein-related files.
According to the complaint, the Department of Justice made a “deliberate policy choice” to prioritize mass disclosure over survivor safety—resulting in roughly 100 victims being identified publicly. Even after the DOJ removed the information, survivors say platforms like Google have continued to surface it in search results and AI-generated content.
The consequences have been devastating. Survivors report being harassed, threatened, and retraumatized—forced to relive their abuse simply because their identities were exposed to the world.
Now, they’re fighting back. The lawsuit seeks damages and a court order requiring Google to permanently remove the information, arguing that both the government and Big Tech failed in their most basic duty: protecting victims.
As one attorney put it: no survivor should have to fear that their trauma can be found with a simple search.
This case could set a major precedent, not just for accountability, but for how survivor privacy is protected in the digital age.
