Legendary singer and longtime Donald Trump supporter Pat Boone has delivered an unusually direct message to the president: “Be quiet.”

Boone, 92, addressed Trump in a social-media video on Friday, September 18, saying he was speaking as a friend who was concerned about the president’s recent public rhetoric.

The veteran entertainer said he had supported Trump in the past but urged him to speak less, listen more and allow his actions to speak for themselves. Boone also asked Trump to stop calling people names and to be more respectful toward women.

Boone suggested that Trump temporarily stay away from press conferences and allow the media to go without covering him for a few days. He argued that a period of silence could encourage the president to adopt a more measured style of communication.

The singer also pointed to former President Ronald Reagan as an example, highlighting what he described as humor, courtesy, respect and a more presidential manner.

Boone emphasized that his comments were not intended as an attack on Trump, but as advice from someone who considers himself a friend.

His blunt two-word message has now sparked attention online: “Be quiet.”
