“Taylor Swift is sick of being on camera” “Attention seeking”: NFL fans react to lip-readers’ rendition of Travis Kelce’s wife
Taylor Swift was in the stands to cheer for husband Travis Kelce as the Kansas City Chiefs faced the Denver Broncos in the regular season opener on Monday. Late in the second quarter, after Kelce took a hit at the end of a short catch, the ESPN broadcast cut to the 14-time Grammy winner’s reaction in the suite.
Online lip-readers were split over what the pop superstar said while watching her husband on Monday Night Football. The “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast also shared the clip, along with its interpretation of the incident, on X.
“‘Don’t show me, Get off of me.’ Taylor Swift is sick of being on camera,” the caption read
“Attention seeking. Always. Tint the windows already. This is football no one wants to see her except the Swifties,” a fan said.
“Not as sick as we are having to see her every 5 minutes,” one fan posted.
“Tay Tay parked herself in front of the window so everyone could see her cheer her guy, then griped because people could see her. 🤪,” another fan added.
Here are some more reactions.
“Maybe watch game from 🏡 or sit in the stands so they can’t find you 🤣🤣🤣,” a fan wrote.
“Watching KC games now means twenty TV shots of Taylor…it is miserable,” one fan commented.
“She hasn’t been the same since they boo’d the [expletive] out of her last year,” another fan said.
Many fans pushed back against the narrative and argued that Swift was saying, ‘Oh, he’s open, oh, he’s open. Get off him.” The music icon was only reacting to a Broncos defender tackling Kelce.
Travis Kelce opened up about his wedding to Taylor Swift in a conversation with ESPN’s Chris Berman last week. The Chiefs tight end called the celebration at Madison Square Garden a dream come true.
“It was the best night of my life,” Kelce said, “Marrying Taylor was more than I could have ever dreamed it to be because of all the people that showed up, and the amount of, you know, love that was in the air.”
